Students and accompanying parents will attend a Day 1 orientation on the student’s first day of school. This is an opportunity to learn about Lytton Street School, see the facilities and amenities, learn the school’s rules including health and safety information, meet the International Team and be introduced to the student’s classroom teacher. Accompanying parents are encouraged to attend the orientation so that they also become familiar with the school.

Lytton Street School welcomes the accompanying parents of international students. The International Team will stay in close contact with accompanying parents and support them as and when necessary. The school recognises that accompanying parents are living apart from their own support networks and the school wants to ensure that these parents experience a safe positive experience whilst their children are studying at Lytton Street School.

Lytton Street School has access to a local English language school where accompanying parents may enrol and study English for living in New Zealand. Classes take place when their child is attending school.
