Health and travel insurance is compulsory for all international students studying in New Zealand. All international students studying at Lytton Street School must have appropriate Code compliant insurance.
Lytton Street School will arrange health and travel insurance and the cost will be included in the student’s Offer of Place and fees.
If the parent wishes to provide their own health and travel insurance then the policy details (in English) must accompany the student’s application for assessment.
Your policy must cover the following;
- to and from New Zealand; and within New Zealand.
- medical care in New Zealand, including diagnosis, prescription, surgery, and hospitalisation.
- repatriation or expatriation of the school learner as a result of serious illness or injury, including cover of travel costs incurred by family members assisting repatriation or expatriation.
- death of the school learner, including cover of travel costs of family members to and from New Zealand, costs of repatriation or expatriation of the body, and funeral expenses
- includes the school learner’s travel to and from their country of origin or citizenship before their educational instruction begins and after it ends (which may be outside of the enrollment period).
- Insurance policy confirmation letter
- Insurance payment receipt (unless arranged through Lytton Street School Insurance Agent)
If the insurance policy is not Code compliant then Lytton Street School will arrange health and travel insurance on behalf the student and the cost will be included in the fees to be paid.
